BUSH NOMINATES PRO-LIFE ALABAMA LAWYER

WASHINGTON, April 10, 2003 (LifeSiteNews.com) - President George W. Bush has
nominated Alabama Attorney General Bill Pryor, 40, for a seat on the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Atlanta.

Pro-abortionists were quick to pounce. "Many of Bush's appellate court nominees have troubling records on a handful of issues," said Nan Aron of the Alliance for Justice, a liberal lobby group in Washington. "With Pryor's record there is something to offend virtually every constituency in the country."

Some speculate that Pryor, who has a long record of public pro-life positions, is eventually destined for a seat on the United States Supreme Court. In 1997 he referred to Roe v. Wade as "the day seven members of our high court ripped the Constitution and ripped out the life of millions of unborn children."
