MAJOR NEW U.S. STUDY PROVES THAT ABSTINENCE WORKS
WASHINGTON, April 14, 2003 (LifeSiteNews.com) - The Family Research Council (FRC) reports on a new study released today that finds abstinence is the major reason for the falling birth and pregnancy rates among single teenagers.
FRC says the study, published in the journal Adolescent and Family Health, is the most extensive yet on this issue. Among unmarried girls, says the study, abstinence accounted for 67 percent of the drop in pregnancies. Previous studies linked falling birth and pregnancy rates to greater use of condoms.
