President Bush to Face Noisy Demonstrations in Canada from Homosexual Activists

OTTAWA, November 23, 2004 (LifeSiteNews.com) - A Toronto-based homosexual activist group is organizing an anti-Bush demonstration to correspond with the US President's visit to Ottawa scheduled for November 30 to December 1.

"People across Canada are coming together to show their opposition to Bush and everything he represents," Toronto Coalition to Stop the War and the ACTivist Magazine's Dylan Penner claimed, according to the homosexual "marriage" activist website, samesexmarriage.ca. "Bush and the Cheney gang want to pressure Paul Martin and Parliament to sign onto Star Wars, send troops to Iraq and backpedal on equal marriage."

"Their administration's assault on peace, ecology and human rights is unprecedented and effects (sic) us all," Penner continued. "And so the Canadian peace movement stands in solidarity with those in the US and around the world who are resisting his policies of endless war on peace, ecology, and human rights."

The group has arranged 10 buses from Montreal, with an undetermined number to be arriving from Toronto.

The group contends that President Bush is a war criminal for his involvement in the war in Iraq, citing from a November 16 Toronto Star article charging the same: "On the face of it, Bush seems a perfect candidate for prosecution under Canada's Crimes against Humanity and War Crimes Act," referring to the act passed in Canada in 2000 that mirrored International Criminal Court legislation enacted there.

Lorne Gunter said in his National Post column Monday, commenting on the lack of world opposition to France's actions in Ivory Coast: "The truth is, international opposition to the Iraq war (including French opposition) was prompted as much by bitter anti-Americanism and irrational hatred of George W. Bush as it was by any true concern for peace or multilateralism."
