Dutch Court Approves Pedophile Political Party
By Hilary White
AMSTERDAM, July 17, 2006 (LifeSiteNews.com) – A court at The Hague has
refused to outlaw the proposed political party that supports legalized
pedophilia and child pornography. The BBC reports that the Brotherly
Love, Freedom and Diversity Party (PNVD) has received the nod from
Judge HFM Hofhuis who said the group has the same right to exist as any
other political party.
In late May, observers around the world were stunned by the
announcement that a group of self-professed pedophiles in the
Netherlands was seeking to form a political party. The announcement
spurred outrage with a poll showing that 82 per cent wanted the
government to do something to stop the new party, while 67 per cent
said promoting pedophilia should be illegal.
The party, which has only three known members, seeks to lower the age
of sexual consent from 16 to 12. They want to legalize child
pornography and sex with animals. They argue that prohibitions only
make children “curious” and seek to overturn all sexual taboos that are
left in Dutch society.
The Associated Press news agency reports that Judge Hofhuis wrote in
the ruling, “Freedom of expression...including the freedom to set up a
political party can be seen as the basis for a democratic society.”
“It is the right of the voter to judge the appeal of political parties,” he said.
The Netherlands has pioneered the legalization of abortion and
euthanasia for adults and infants, prostitution, ‘soft’ recreational
drugs and was the first country to institute homosexual “marriage.”
