CARDINAL DEFENDS MOTHER THERESA'S ABORTION STANCE

CALCUTTA (LSN) - Cardinal Angelo Sodano, the Vatican's secretary of state, spoke at Mother Teresa's funeral on Saturday on behalf of pope John Paul II. There he defended the nun against critics of her anti-abortion stance, and urged her followers to take up where the missionary had left off. He praised her committment to "the defenceless unborn."
