WASHINGTON, Oct 2 (LSN) - Vice President Al Gore spoke Monday at a White House global-warming conference. After submitting ``evidence’’ of the much contested global warming theory, Gore warned that overpopulation was one of the main contributing factors to the environmental threat.
The Washington Times reported Gore as saying, ``Third World nations are producing too many children too fast… it is time to ignore the controversy over family planning and cut out-of-control population growth…’‘. When asked how to go about this he suggested expanding birth control and abortion programs in developing countries.
