OTTAWA, Sept 3 (LSN) – Yesterday Reuters news service reported that the sex-change operation, “along with mandatory hormonal and psychiatric treatment,” that the Canadian Forces agreed to afford its soldiers will cost Canadian tax-payers between C$20,000 and C$40,000 per procedure. Colonel Scott Cameron, director of medical services for the military told Reuters that the decision was a moral and medical obligation calling the desire to have a “gender reassignment” an “illness.” One pro-family observer noted that it is strange that while some provincial health plans refuse to cover circumcisions they agree to cover sex- changes, “I guess you have to chop the whole thing off to have the procedure paid for,” she said.
