MONTREAL, June 2 (LSN) - With the highest rate of abortion and the lowest birth rate in Canada, the province of Quebec is dwindling quickly in its share of the Canadian population. According to a Radio-Canada documentary yesterday, statistics supported by two Quebec government agencies indicate that Quebec’s share of the Canadian population has gone from 34% at Confederation to 24% today, with a projection that it will drop to 19% by 2050.
