OTTAWA, Apr 12 (LSN.ca) - The federal government’s homosexual omnibus legislation which affords homosexual unions near legal equality with marriage passed the House of Commons yesterday with a vote of 174-72. Although not granted a free vote on the bill, 17 Liberals voted against their party. The lawmakers ignored the massive outcry by Canadians with regard to this legislation. The number of petitions, phone calls, emails, letters and faxes received by the House against the legislation was unprecedented.
