Foundation continues to confirm it’s pro-abortion militancy

LOS ALTOS, Calif, October 23, 2001 (LSN.ca) – The David and Lucile Packard Foundation has approved third quarter Population Program grants of $21 million, but the largest share of the funds went to the National Abortion Rights Action League (NARAL). A press release from the foundation indicating its 3rd Quarter Grant Awards for 2001 indicates that NARAL received $ 7,555,000.

NARAL is the foremost pro-abortion political activist group in the United States. The April 22 March for Abortion, sponsored by NARAL, was attended by some 7000 abortion supporters, supported not only abortion but also violence and rioting. A photo of some of the pro-abortion marchers shows masked and hooded marchers carrying a large sign reading, “we’re pro-choice and we riot.” (see photo at https://www.lsn.ca/ldn/2001/images/042501marchabortion.jpg ) NARAL’s constant pro-abortion lobby recently included an effort to “mobilize pro-choice Americans to block anti-choice Supreme Court appointments, restore pro-choice leadership in Congress, elect a pro-choice president and fight anti-choice policy initiatives at every level” see their website:  https://www.fight4choice.com

The foundation, however, is no stranger to outright pro-abortion activism, beyond nuanced “population support” to third world countries. Last year the foundation gave NARAL $16-million to run a series of pro-abortion TV ads to counter pro-life ads which were effectively turning the public against abortion.
