NEW DELHI, April 24, 2003 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Dr. Ish Aggarwal, who runs a nursing home in Uttam Nagar where she performs abortions, has been arrested for selling babies. In a sting operation police sent a woman to pose as one interested in paying for a child. Once the deal was nearing completion police raided the nursing home. Officials say that when abortions are too dangerous (late term) Aggarwal encouraged her patients usually poor parents or single mothers to give up their children. Allegedly, Aggarwal would then falsify birth papers to make it seem as if the woman purchasing the child was the birth mother.
