SYDNEY, November 5, 2003 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Beginning this January, the abortifacient morning after pill will be available over-the-counter in Australia.  A government committee approved the change in the abortifacient drug’s status last month.  In Australia the drug is known as Postinor-2.

Similar changes are being sought around the world and in Canada as well. Canada too has tacitly approved the over-the-counter status and has sought commentary on the proposed policy amendment from interested parties. Submissions were made opposing the change by Campaign Life Coalition as well as Life Canada.  In 1999 a LifeSite report exposed the fact that the rapid proliferation of abortifacient “emergency contraception” around the world was engineered by an international consortium of abortion supporters including various arms of the United Nations, the World Health Organization and the World Bank.  See the LifeSite report exposing the international consortium:  http://www.lifesite.net/ldn/1999/dec/991210a.html
