OTTAWA, May 1 (LSN.ca) - Proving the ineffectiveness of the federal voluntary moratorium, a sex-selection clinic has come out in the open, admitting it offers couples who use in-vitro fertilization the opportunity to select the sex of their offspring for money. Canadian Press reports that Allan Abramovitch who runs one such clinic has claimed a 75-85 per cent success rate. Experts in the field doubt Abramovitch’s claims but without any legal recourse even to regulate the illicit practice, no action is being taken against Abramovitch.
