The politics regarding the U.S. Senate health care bill is now getting downright dirty. That was expected if the Obamacare project got to the point of risking imminent defeat. The true character of these charlatans around Obama (not all Dems are this way) is now coming out when the chips are down. They are unbelievably trying to force a vote on a final health care bill with many substantial changes that no one has yet seen. This is insanity. It is demagogury.
The Dems also engaged in another incredible and ominous precedent yesterday by changing the rules in the Senate to stop the the lengthy reading of a bill. I heard today that the Dems action broke a tradition that has existed since the Senate was formed.
For our non-US readers, we must emphasize that our many reports on the US health care battle are of international concern. As drafted, this is a giant U.S. leftist social engineering project that would open the doors to a huge expansion of the death culture in the US, a dangerous increase in the power of the federal government over many more details in the lives of US citizens and their families, and in the process it stands a good chance of finally bankrupting the United States. All of this, because of the influence of the US, would affect the whole world.
