What a week!
For the second day in a row LifeSiteNews was featured at the very top of the Drudge Report - the most popular news aggregator site in the world. Drudge linked to our breaking story on the response of pro-life leaders to the Obama administration’s revised birth control mandate, announced today. Once again the tidal wave of traffic coming from Drudge nearly shut our website down: but after scrambling and instituting several emergency measures, we were able to welcome the hundreds of thousands of visitors Drudge sent our way.
However, today’s events only reinforce what we mentioned in our emergency appeal yesterday: it is absolutely critical that we upgrade our server so that we can handle the rapidly increasing traffic coming to our site every day.
