CraineOWOSSO, Michigan, November 10, 2009 (LifeSiteNews.com) - New documents reveal that the man accused of murdering Michigan pro-life activist Jim Pouillon, 63, admitted to preparing for the crime the night before.Harlan Drake, 33, told police that he had put loaded guns in the back of his pickup truck the night before killing Pouillon and local gravel pit owner Mike Fuoss, 61.  The next morning, September 11th, he said he dropped off two nieces and a friend at school and then shot Pouillon outside of the school.The affidavit was released on Friday by police after being sealed for 56 days, according to Michigan law. Drake was originally deemed incompetent to stand trial, based in part on a suicide attempt on September 12th, the day after his arrest.  He was then declared competent at the end of October, following psychiatric treatment.  His lawyer is seeking to make an insanity defense.Pouillon was well-known in the area for his pro-life witness, regularly displaying a pro-life sign on the side of the road.  Police said after Drake's arrest that he had admitted to shooting Pouillon because he was annoyed by Pouillon's witness. http://www.lifesitenews.com/news/accused-pouillon-killer-admitted-to-preparing-the-night-before/
