BY LifeSiteNews.com By Tim WaggonerTORONTO, May 7, 2009 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Campaign Life Coalition (CLC), the political wing of the pro-life movement in Canada, has thrown its full support behind MPP Frank Klees for Ontario Progressive Conservative party leader.  The organization also advised pro-lifers in Ontario that the deadline for signing up to vote in the Leadership election is May 14.A CLC press release stated: "Campaign Life Coalition’s Preferred Candidate Frank Klees (MPP Newmarket-Aurora) has a pro-life history, has been a strong supporter of parental rights and conscience rights for health care workers. He supports the traditional definition of marriage and the defunding of abortion."LifeSiteNews.com spoke with Klees about CLC’s backing.  He said the endorsement was gratifying and confirmed his pro-life stance.  "My position on pro-life positions has been consistent since I’ve been in public life," he said.The CLC voters guide also noted the stance on abortion of three other candidates vying for Ontario PC party leader, labeling Randy Hillier (MPP Lanark-Frontenac-Lennox and Addington), Tim Hudak (MPP Niagara West-Glanbrook) and Christine Elliott (MPP Whitby-Oshawa) as "not pro-life", "unknown" and "pro-abortion" respectively.  It did, however, add that Randy Hillier "supports conscience rights for health care workers and would eliminate the Human Rights Commission."The election is set for June 25, with advanced polls opening June 21.ACTION ITEM: Please fax your completed membership form with payment before May 14th to: 416.650.9889 or mail to: 45 Vogell Road, Suite 101 Richmond Hill Ontario L4B 3P6 or call Campaign Life Coalition at 1-800-730-5358 and ask for Jeff for more information to enable you to vote for Frank on June 21 or 25 in your riding.
