BY LifeSiteNews.com VANCOUVER (LSN) - B.C. Supreme Court Justice W.H. Davies has ordered the BC College of Teachers to approve Trinity Western University’s application for accreditation of its teacher education program. Last summer, The BC College of Teachers voted 17-1 to refuse certification to TWU teacher graduates unless they took their final year at Simon Fraser University due to Trinity’s community standards document. When applying to Trinity, all students must pledge that they will not engage in homosexual acts or premarital sex, or have an abortion, a requirement alien to the current values of what Christians call “the world,” and deeply offensive to opponents of orthodox Christianity. No criticism of the quality of teacher training offered at TWU was cited—only the student pledge.
