Abortionist not a surgeon or a gynecologist, but an anesthesiologist BY LifeSiteNews.com BILLINGS, MT, March 22, 2004 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Billings’ Intermountain Planned Parenthood Inc. and abortionist Dr. David G. Healow are being sued for negligence. Lorraine Thul is suing for unspecified damages as well as $50,000 for present and future medical costs as a result of injuries sustained during a botched abortion. The lawsuit reports that Thul sought out the abortion “for possible congenital anomalies secondary to medication taken earlier in pregnancy,” as reported by the Billings Gazette. During the course of the abortion a nurse told Healow he was being “overzealous.” Later that evening, in her motel, Thul began to experience “tremendous cramping and bloating and decided that she needed to call the facility and report the bleeding and pain.” The lawsuit asserts that Thul was given an Ultrasound by a clinic technician at 11:20 p.m. Healow was called and arrived 15 minutes later. “At that time and for the first time Dr. Healow told Plaintiff that he had perforated her uterus but simply did not think that he had perforated the uterus too much,” the lawsuit says. “He vacillated as to what to do and 15 minutes later decided to call the local hospital.” Emergency surgery was performed at Deaconess Billings Clinic. Subsequent surgeries have also been necessary.
