BY LifeSiteNews.com Dear readers,   Today’s news brings us positive developments in California, Canada (HPV story) and Cuba of all places.   The ongoing saga of Canada’s completely out of control human rights commissions has now qualified the country to be given the same label as Britain - loonie. It is beyond belief.   The pathetic impotence of Canada’s federal and provincial governments - who are the ones who created the human rights commissions mess and are the only ones who can end it - is also beyond belief. They either support what is going or, such as the federal Conservative government. are cowardly over it. Just what are they so deathly afraid of while crucial fundamental freedoms are being so easily and dangerously trashed?  We present today a fascinating examination of Papal communications in the information age courtesy of Vatican spokesman Fr. Frederico Lombardi.  Latvia and the Aegean island of Tilos are the latest targets of the gay activist totalitarians. It appears they will not tolerate any nation not kneeling to their agenda, with national sovereignty, millennia old religious traditions and local cultures being totally disregarded. This is politically dangerous stuff and will certainly not stop with the homosexual issue.   Still, we must never become pessimists, which is different from courageously admitting and facing reality, which many are so far still very reluctant to do.   In an interview with Focus on the Family’s Citizenlink, Theology of the Body evangelist Christopher West was asked, "The culture often appears to be corrupt and depraved beyond redemption. Do you see hope for cultural change?"  West’s response should be ours. It certainly reflects that of LifeSiteNews. West said, "The world is looking pretty grim; it’s looking pretty dark. But the darker it gets, the brighter the light shines. We as Christians, we are people of great hope, because we know that death is not the final word. There is also resurrection. I believe that there will be a collapse of this culture of death, if it takes its natural course.
