BY LifeSiteNews.com Partial-birth abortion ban up for U.S. House vote. The House sponsor of the ban on partial-birth abortion, pro-life Rep. Charles Canady (R-FL) has announced that the Partial-Birth Abortion BanAct (HR 1122) will be taken up by the entire House during the week of October 6. The House must approve a slightly amended Senate version and voted last March to approve the ban 295-136. (The Senate made minor changes to the bill in order to receive the endorsement of the American Medical Association). Once the House passes the ban, it will then be sent to the President - who has indicated he will veto the bill.
