PETERSBURG, Florida, November 26, 2002 (LifeSiteNews.com) - A judge has ruled in favour of pulling the plug on Terri Schiavo, 38, a woman on life support since an unexplained 1990 accident. Pinellas County Circuit Court Judge George Greer ruled against the woman’s parents, who believe she is conscious, and in favour of a longstanding campaign by her husband, Michael Schiavo, who maintains she is little more than a vegetable and should be allowed to die.  The judge said the evidence “overwhelmingly supports the view that Terri Schiavo remains in a persistent vegetative state” and ordered that food be withheld from Mrs. Schaivo starting at 3 p.m. on January 3, giving the parents time to file an appeal.  “It’s inhumane,” said Bob Schindler, the woman’s father, “How in the world can you starve someone to death that is cognizant? I mean, she’s a person.
