JOHN’S, NFLD, July 10, 2008 (LifeSiteNews.com) - The Newfoundland Right to Life Association held a public protest yesterday in opposition to the appointment of Dr. Henry Morgentaler to the Order of Canada.Over 40 protestors gathered in front of the lieutenant governor’s house with signs that read, "abortion kills children" and "God save us and our nation."  They did so in solidarity with the protest that was going on in Ottawa at the same time.Patrick Hanlon, president of the Right to Life Association, told CBC News that the members of his association are opposed to Morgentaler’s induction into the Order of Canada."A lot of people will say this is a man that’s made abortion safe. Well, actually he’s not. He’s made abortion legal," Hanlon said.
