BY LifeSiteNews.com OTTAWA, Apr 28 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Ontario Tory strategist Tom Long officially declared his candidacy for leader of the Canadian Alliance party yesterday, carefully dancing around questions on abortion and homosexuality. While Long claims to be pro-life and pro-family, a careful examination of his statements show his words to be shallow. The Globe and Mail reports that “Mr. Long went out of his way to insist that he would never allow his own personal views to influence government policy. ... He does not believe Parliament should concern itself with such matters.” Pro-life, pro-family leaders warn that this is a dangerous position.
