European academic groups expressed opposition to the research BY LifeSiteNews.com CHICAGO, July 3, 2003 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Scientists from Chicago's Center for Human Reproduction announced at a Madrid conference on reproductive technology this week that they had created male/female hybrid human embryos. Lead researcher Norbert Gleicher said that the privately funded experiments saw 12 human embryos develop normally after cells from male human embryos were transplanted into 21 one-day-old female embryos.This latest outrage in mutilation and destruction of innocent human life caught even scientists off guard. Various European academic groups expressed opposition to the research.
