BY LifeSiteNews.com WASHINGTON, Nov 30 (LSN.ca) - US Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens blocked the enforcement of laws prohibiting partial-birth abortion in Wisconsin and Illinois today despite the fact that lower courts have ruled numerous times that the bans should remain in place during appeals. The case is set to be heard by the Supreme Court.  LifeSite reported last month that the 7th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals upheld partial birth abortion bans in Illinois and Wisconsin. “We conclude that both laws can be applied in a constitutional manner,” Judge Frank Easterbrook wrote in the majority opinion.
