March 7, 2011 (LifeSiteNews.com) – Top pro-life leaders in the struggle to end federal taxpayer funding for Planned Parenthood will host a webcast on Monday evening to update local pro-lifers on the latest news from Capitol Hill and to mobilize grassroots support for the cause, leaders announced today.
The Expose Planned Parenthood coalition on Monday morning announced the “For Such a Time as This” National Teleconference and Web Simulcast Event, scheduled for 9 pm. EST.
Congressional guests appearing on the webcast will include Rep. Mike Pence (R-IN), the author of the budget bill amendment to de-fund Planned Parenthood, and Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), Chairman of the House Subcommittee on Regulatory Affairs, Stimulus Oversight, and Government Spending.
Other pro-life leaders on the call include: Lila Rose of Live Action Films; Tony Perkins of the Family Research Council; Marilyn Musgrave of the Susan B. Anthony List; Kristan Hawkins of Students for Life of America (SFLA); Wendy Wright of Concerned Women for America; and Abby Johnson, former Planned Parenthood affiliate director and author of Unplanned.
“The number one thing we must do right now is to prove to the leaders of the U.S. Congress that the majority of Americans want Planned Parenthood federally de-funded now,” said Students for LIfe executive director Hawkins in an email to supporters.
