DURANGO, Colorado, July 29, 2011 (LifeSiteNews.com) – Lila Rose, the founder of Live Action Films, will lead a protest of a Catholic hospital in Colorado that has kept an abortionist on its OB/GYN staff.

Rose will lead a protest organized by LifeGuard on Thursday, August 4th, to expose the relationship of abortionist Richard Grossman and Catholic Hospital Mercy Regional Medical Center in Durango.

Grossman is the longest-serving physician at the hospital, and commits abortions on Fridays at Planned Parenthood of Durango. Pro-lifers say that Grossman, a Quaker who has worked at the Catholic hospital for 44 years, is the only abortionist within a 200-mile radius. https://www.lifesitenews.com/news/doc-at-catholic-hospital-i-perform-abortions-because-im-a-christian

“The reason I perform abortions is because I’m a Christian,” Grossman told the Durango Herald after a similar protest last year.

A press conference will be held at 1:30 pm the same day as the protest outside of the entrance to Mercy Regional Medical Center, to give voice to the nation-wide opposition of pro-life leaders.

“The fact that Mercy Hospital allows Dr. Grossman, the local Planned Parenthood abortionist, to maintain his private practice on hospital grounds is a scandal and an outrage,” stated Rose.

“No hospital should promote so-called doctors who make their living off of killing defenseless pre-born children, and a Catholic hospital should know better. Mercy Hospital should immediately sever all ties with Dr. Grossman and evict him from their premises, and if not, the Archdiocese of Denver must intervene to end Mercy Hospital’s cooperation with the abortion industry.”

Rose and her team of investigators at Live Action have rocked national media and politics with a string of undercover investigations exposing Planned Parenthood employees across America helping young girls avoid the law, ignoring statutory rape, and even helping illegal sex traffickers get abortions and STD treatment for their underage prostitutes.

National pro-life leaders have weighed in heavily against Mercy Hospital’s cooperation with abortionist Richard Grossman, including Father Fessio, Founder of Ignatius Press, American Life League Founder Judie Brown, star of “Bella” Eduardo Verastegui, Walter Hoye, Personhood USA, I Am Whole Life Founder Jason Jones, and Joe Scheidler of the Prolife Action League, who led last year’s protest.

Scheidler, a founding member of the pro-life movement in America, has encouraged all Catholics to sign the new petition against the scandal here.
