TORONTO, Ontario, October 19, 2012 (LifeSiteNews.com) – Following three recent court appearances – including by video Thursday morning from her internment site at the Vanier Centre for Women in Milton – Mary Wagner has been remanded by a justice of the peace to Thursday, October 25 at 9 a.m. for another hearing via video. The hearing is part of her trial on charges of mischief and two counts of breaching probation and will take place at the Ontario Court of Justice at College Park in downtown Toronto.

The Crown is opposing Mary’s release on bail after she was arrested at the “Women’s Care Clinic” abortion site on Lawrence Avenue West in Toronto August 15. She is being represented by Brantford lawyer Charles Lugosi, who said he is not at liberty to discuss his intended defence at this point as he has a conference call scheduled with the Crown this coming Monday on the matter.

The development comes as Wagner, along with fellow pro-life activist Linda Gibbons, received a Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal in recognition of her efforts for the preborn, which include the recent saving of the life of one fellow jail inmate’s baby.
