MADRID, January 3, 2014 (LifeSiteNews.com) – Pro-lifers in several Spanish cities gathered during the Christian feast of the Holy Innocents, to show support for a reform that seeks to restrict abortion in the country.

In Barcelona, the Youth of Saint Joseph led the rally in Cathedral Square.

Pro-abortion activists interrupted the peaceful manifestation singing Christmas carols in favor of abortion, and then proceeded to “yell, insult, and spit at us,” report the Youth of Saint Joseph’s on their website. “They threw objects at us to stop us from being the voice of the voiceless,” their site says.

“We must bear witness against evil,” said Sergio Plaza, from Valencia’s Saint Andrew’s Cathedral. “Life is the first right. We all have a right to grow old.”
