HAMILTON, Mar 25 (Lifesitenews.com) – Hamilton-Wentworth Regional Police have formally requested that the government prevent entry into Canada of the pamphlet Quack the Ripper, produced by the U.S. pro-life group Life Dynamics Incorporated.

In making the request, Hamilton police inspector David Bowen stated, “This pamphlet is designed to discourage doctors from performing abortions, something that is a right for all women in Canada”. Unlike the U.S., there is in fact not a legal “right to abortion” in Canadian law, although the procedure is also not restricted because of the absence of abortion regulation law. The proposal to ban a publication from entering the country is normally reserved for illegal materials (and not even hard-core pornography), rather than items such as this pamphlet which mostly contains uncomplimentary profiles of abortionists and quotes from abortionists themselves.

Abortionists in Canada and their supporters are calling for a restriction of free speech rights over the pamphlet which presents a strong case that abortion is a dirty business,  not worthy of the medical profession. While the profiles of the abortionists are disgusting,  Life Dynamics insists that they are factually accurate. Further, the self-deprecating quotes of abortionists about their profession are again accurate with sources quoted. The only objection that could be made is that the drawings and jokes about the practice of abortion are crude. They are however, replicas of the jokes normally applied to lawyers which have never been the occasion of serious criticism let alone import bans.

Originally, the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario claimed that the cartoon pamphlet sent out by the U.S. pro-life group Life Dynamics Inc. to doctors and medical students in North America was “a threat.” The Texas pro-life group purchased a list of doctors and medical students and sent out the pamphlet to discourage medical professionals from being enticed by head-hunters in the abortion industry.

Jim Maclean, director of public affairs with the College, said that the wording on the cover of the pamphlet—“If you’re a doctor, resident or med student, someone’s out to get you”  was “basically a threat.” Presumably Maclean meant to suggest that pro-lifers are threatening to harm abortionists. In fact, nothing could be further from the truth. Dzintra Tuttle, a spokesman for Life Dynamics, told LifeSite that the cover wording refers to page 16 of the pamphlet where it states that “today abortion advocates are engaged in an aggressive campaign to lure physicians into the abortion industry.”

Recently, abortionist Garson Romalis proved both the assertion of Life Dynamics that an abortionist recruitment campaign is underway, and that abortion is a “bottom feeder aspect”  of the medical profession. Romalis, a hero of the pro-abortion movement since being shot in the leg in 1994, spoke to University of British Columbia medical students in an attempt to recruit more abortionists last January. Romalis told his listeners that, “Abortion has always been viewed as a kind of a subterranean thing. [Children] don’t walk around saying, ‘My father is an abortionist.’” In addition, he said, “it’s boring, it’s repetitious, it’s not particularly technically or intellectually demanding and it’s not very well paid.”
