NORFOLK, Virginia, August 24, 2011 (LifeSiteNews.com) – A controversial new porn site by the world’s leading animal rights group could actually feed animal cruelty fetishes, according to one counselor specializing in recovery from porn addiction.

Users of PETA’s new site, to be launched this year, will first be presented with pornographic galleries and videos, but shortly after they will be exposed to PETA’s graphic hidden camera investigations of animal mistreatment.

“We are working on a XXX site and the content will be graphic — an off-limits video that people won’t expect. This will grab people’s attention and start a discussion to take action,” said PETA spokesman Ashley Burns.

But according to Dr. Peter C. Kleponis, the assistant director of Comprehensive Counseling Services in Pennsylvania, “The people who would be really interested in this site are the people who have fetishes of hurting animals, who may have fetishes for bestiality, who associate animals with sex.

“This is what it might actually increase.”

PETA has exploited women to advance their cause for many years, partnering with Playboy and employing porn stars such as Jenna Jameson, Sasha Grey, and Pamela Anderson in TV commercials and ads to advance animal rights, veganism, and vegetarianism.  Earlier this month, the group did a photo shoot with Hulk Hogan’s daughter, Brooke, lying naked in a cage as part of their Women In Cages exhibition.

“Instead of just showing people our iconic ads we then show them how animals suffer for entertainment,” PETA spokeswoman Burns told the Herald Sun about the new project.  “Our racier actions are sometimes a way to get people to sit up and pay attention to the plight of animals.”

But Dr. Kleponis said PETA’s scheme is “ridiculous.”  “I can’t see this website doing anything to help their cause,” he said.  “The people looking at it, they’re not going to care about the animals, they’re going to look at the porn.  It’s not going to change their attitudes towards the treatment of animals.  I don’t know who came up with that idea but it’s ridiculous.”

PETA is so focused on animal rights that they are willing to trample on human rights to advance their cause, he charged.  “It’s all about animals.  Even if they have to exploit women for their own purpose, they will do it.”
