TORONTO, February 25, 2014 (LifeSiteNews.com) – With the National March for Life less than three months away, Campaign Life Coalition has today launched the official National March for Life promotional video tackling the theme ‘RU-4LIFE?

The organization has also announced the roster of keynote speakers for the event, including Carol Everett, former abortion clinic owner who oversaw 35,000 abortions, and Jason Evert, world-renowned chastity speaker and best-selling author.

“Every year, the National March for Life is a witness to the growing numbers of Canadian families who oppose the injustice of abortion in this country,” said Jim Hughes, president of Campaign Life Coalition. “Planning for this year’s March, which is expected to be the largest to date, began immediately after last year’s event and as the date draws closer, there is a feeling of enthusiasm spreading across this country.”

This year’s theme presents a double entendre: RU-4LIFE? A question we pose to all Canadians – with added emphasis on CLC’s campaign to stop the deadly abortion pill RU-486 from coming into Canada. An application is currently under review by Health Canada.

The drug, which Campaign Life Coalition describes as a “human pesticide,” kills pre-born human beings at 5-9 weeks gestation, causes their mothers serious adverse side-effects and has killed dozens of women worldwide, including one in Canada.

On Thursday, May 8, thousands of Canadians will gather on Parliament Hill and march through the streets of Ottawa in opposition to both surgical and chemical abortions, calling on our Parliament to establish legal protection for all human beings from the time of conception to natural death.

The pre-march rally, which kicks off on Parliament Hill at 12 noon, will feature parliamentarians and pro-life and religious leaders. The March through downtown Ottawa begins at 1:30 pm. Other March for Life related events include a Candlelight vigil on the eve of the March, the Rose Dinner and Youth Banquet the evening of the March, and a full day Youth Conference on Friday May 9, 2014.

Official posters and brochures are now available at RU-4LIFE.ca to download and circulate in communities across the country.
