SAN DIEGO, CA, January 15, 2013 (LifeSiteNews.com) - On Saturday, January 19, citizens from southern California will participate in San Diego's first Walk for Life, marking the 40th anniversary of the Supreme Court decision of Roe v. Wade.

The public is invited to participate in the inspiring, family-friendly event on January 19th at 9:00 a.m. at Balboa Park on the corner of 6th Avenue and Laurel St., San Diego.

Since the Roe v Wade United States Supreme Court decision on January 22, 1973, over 50 million human beings have been killed by abortion in the U.S.  Now, according to a 2012 CNN poll, over 62% of Americans identify as pro-life and want abortion criminalized in at least some circumstances.

Among others, speakers at the Walk include Walter Hoye, founder and president of Issues 4 Life Foundation, Charmaine Yoest, president of Americans United for Life, and Dran Reese, Director of The Salt and Light Council.

Also speaking at the event will be Dr. Jim Garlow, Senior Pastor of Rancho San Diego’s Skyline Church. Dr Garlow is best known for his leadership in the Proposition 8 campaign.
