WASHINGTON, DC, February 16, 2009 (LifeSiteNews.com) – The Second International Symposium on Euthanasia and Assisted Suicide, centered on the theme “Never Again,” will take place May 29 – 30, 2009 at the National Conference Center located at 18980 Upper Belmont Pl., Landsdowne Virginia, 20176, near the Washington DC, Dulles Airport.

The Second International Symposium’s stated purpose is to build an effective, unified and focused group of organizations and individuals working to stop the pro-euthanasia lobby, and to create an effective force to move our culture toward “caring and not killing.”

Alex Schadenberg, the Executive Director of the Euthanasia Prevention Coalition, which co-sponsors the event, said that the unified direction that will be unveiled at the Second International Symposium requires the involvement of people everywhere, and that this will be the most important conference held to date on euthanasia and assisted suicide.

The Second International Symposium is also sponsored by International Task Force on Euthanasia and Assisted Suicide, Physicians for Compassionate Care – USA, Care Not Killing Alliance – UK, Not Dead Yet – USA, No Less Human – UK, Vermont Alliance for Ethical Health Care – USA, Compassionate Health Care Network – Canada, Terri Schindler Schiavo Foundation – USA, ALERT – UK, and the Institute for the Study of Disability and Bioethics – USA.
