WASHINGTON, Mar 15 (LifeSiteNews.com) - The money behind the pro-abortion ad campaign of the National Abortion Rights Action League (NARAL) comes mainly from the David and Lucile Packard Foundation. The foundation gave NARAL $16-million to run a series of pro-abortion TV ads to counter pro-life ads which were effectively turning the public against abortion.
The St. Petersburg Times notes that other donors to the pro-abortion TV campaign included George Soros’ Open Society Institute with a $500,000 donation and the Wallace Alexander Gerbode Foundation with $75,000. The pro-abortion ads copy the format of the pro-life ads which use emotional imagery to convey the message.
