The Standing Sentinels are going to continue to stand silently against the attempts by the socialist government of France to change the definition of marriage to include same-sex partnerings … even when they’re being arrested.

The sentinels began their peaceful protest vigils in over 100 towns across France during the gay “marriage” debate last year, and they still haven't given up. During the vigils they sometimes hold lighted candles, meditate, sing, or read poetry together.

A media statement from the French edition of the Sentinelles, says, “Despite their peaceful attitude and the absence of any ostentatious message, the authorities (police and CRS) renew the abuse of authority in order to make them leave. No reason is given to justify such measures, which constitute an obstacle to the free movement of citizens.”

Despite these clumsy efforts to shut them down, the Sentinels are spreading the message.

They’re standing all over Italy these days too.
