HOLLYWOOD, Nov 6 (LSN) – The Catholic League for Civil and Religious Rights in the US has published information on two recent incidences of defamation perpetrated by Warner Brothers (WB) and Fox TV.  WB television aired an episode of the children’s cartoon called “Hysteria!” last weekend wherein the Inquisition was depicted as a game show where contestants are tortured for wrong answers to a bishop’s (the host of the show) questions.  The bishop informs one contestant that the correct answer is “I have read books forbidden by the Catholic Church and am a big stinky heretic.” He adds, “the next time you commit a mortal sin against the Church, don’t be surprised if someone comes up to you and says.  [interruption] ‘Convert or Die.’”  On the Fox TV show “Ally McBeal,” which aired Monday, unbelievably filthy statements were made desecrating Catholic nuns, priests, sacraments, teachings and practices.  A sample of the outrageous statements are reproduced in the League’s press release but are not fit to be reprinted by this news service.  For more information see the Catholic League at:  https://www.catholicleague.org/98Press%20Releases/pr0498.html
