After the Catholic governor of Illinois presented a pro-choice award to a rape advocate who favors abortion, another rape victim has spoken up to criticize the award.
Cardinal George softened his criticisms after learning that the recipient of the award was a rape victim, but stood by statements criticizing Gov. Quinn.
Quinn had accepted an invitation to present an award at a November 17th lunch held by Personal PAC, a group dedicated to supporting pro-abortion candidates for political office.
Gov. Pat Quinn's bishop blasted the governor's remarks, saying "the Catholic Church does not support civil unions or other measures that are contrary to the natural moral law.”
