CLINTON ATTACKS SCHOOL CHOICE

WASHINGTON, Sept 30 (LSN) – President Clinton spoke out today against a plan by Republicans for a voucher system. The system would allow parents to choose where to send their children to school either private schools or public. Supporters of the system note that there is no accountability in the failing public school system. Vouchers would ensure competition to offer the best possible education as well as the opportunity to have religiously-based schooling. CANADA, Sept 29 (LSN) – Canadian Television Networks commence this week with a rating system for TV shows similar to that of the US.
