CTV news reported today, that the controversial procedure being performed in the US is being carefully studied by Canada’s transplant centres with the need for organs in the country now double the number of available donors. BATTLEFORD, Saskatchewan, Oct 29 (LSN) – Evidence was presented in court today regarding Latimer’s written confession to police of the murder of his daughter. Latimer informed police in stark detail how he carried 12 year old Tracy out to a shed on the family farm, put her inside a pick-up truck and ran a hose from the exhaust pipe into the cab. He then sat and watched for half an hour until his daughter was dead.

CANADA PUSHES WORLD CRIMINAL TRIBUNAL

EDINBURGH Oct 28 (LSN) – Prime Minister Chretien urged the implementation of an international criminal court at the meeting of Commonwealth leaders in Scotland today. The proposal received support from the 52 government leaders at the conference. A UN meeting to discuss terms of reference has been set for Rome next June. The Commonwealth leaders said an international criminal court would deal with war crimes, genocide, crimes against humanity and international acts of terrorism. Critics fear the international courts would supercede national laws and thus allow for seizure of citizens or global police enforcement of UN values.
