CAMBODIA LEGALIZES ABORTION

PHNOM PENH, Cambodia, Oct 6 (LSN) – Cambodia’s parliament passed a law today legalizing abortions during a woman’s first three months of pregnancy. The law maintains that a women under 18 years old must have parental consent before killing the child in her womb. Until now, Cambodia had no laws governing abortion.

GORE CHAMPIONS POPULATION CONTROL

After submitting “evidence’’ of the much contested global warming theory, Gore warned that overpopulation was one of the main contributing factors to the environmental threat. COURTS ORDER GOVERMENT TO CHANGE DEFINITION OF ‘SPOUSE’

TORONTO, Oct 3 (LSN) – In a precedent-setting case, judge N. Douglas Cook ruled in favour of a lesbian claimant for death benefits. Kelly Kane, 36, of Toronto was awarded a $25,000 insurance payment from the Axa Insurance Company. COMPLAINTS TO ADS ON ‘NOTHING SACRED’ EFFECTIVE

NEW YORK, Oct 2 (LSN) – The Sears company’s withdrawl announced today marks the sixth advertiser to pull sponsorship of the blasphemous show ‘Nothing Sacred’. Last week the Catholic League for Civil and Religious Rights, who has headed up the fight, reported that K-Mart, Isuzu Motors, Weight Watchers, DuPont’s Corian, and Benckiser’s Electrosol Tabs have all told the Disney Company’s ABC network that they would no longer sponsor the show following consumer complaints. Moreover, they noted that twenty-nine Catholic, Protestant, Muslim, and Jewish groups have joined in the boycott of the television show.
