UN COMMITTEE CONTINUES TO PROMOTE GLOBAL ABORTION

UNITED NATIONS, Feb 10 (LSN)—The UN's Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination Against Women concluded its eighteenth session last Friday. The session, which began on January 19, saw continued efforts to push for a universal “right” to abortion on demand. Committee members blatantly sought to push abortion in Croatia, Indonesia, and Mexico.  In considering the report of Croatia, the UN committee said it was “concerned” with the “close relationship between the government and the Church-related non-governmental organizations, which,  it felt, could compromise the demarcation between the secular State and the Church.” The only reason offered for this “concern” was that […]

MAINE PRO-FAMILY GROUPS OPPOSE GAY PRIVILEGES

AUGUSTA, Maine, Feb 8 (LSN)—Last spring homosexual activists managed to gain special privileges through adding “sexual orientation” to the list of prohibited grounds of “discrimination” in Maine's Human Rights Act. In other US states and across Canada, similar legislation has been used by the gay lobby to gain “marital” and “family” status—including the right to adopt children— and to silence moral opposition to their “lifestyle.”  Fortunately, a campaign to repeal the anti-family legislation has gained ground. Armed with 58,000 signatures on a petition, pro-family groups in Maine have succeeded in setting the stage for a “people’s veto” of the law, […]
