FIRST KNOWN VICTIM OF OREGON’S SUICIDE LAW

PORTLAND, Ore., Mar 26 (LSN) – An 80-year-old woman with breast cancer became the first known victim of Oregon’s Death with Dignity Act. Although five months have passed since the law took effect there have been no other known victims.  Last month the state forced taxpayers to pay for the killings when it made assisted suicide part of the state’s “health” plan for low-income residents. AUSTIN, Mar 25 (LSN) – The state of Texas will not force its citizens to pay for abortion on demand by making it a Medicaid service, a state district judge ruled Monday. The abortionists claimed that their goal in suing for increased coverage was to help low-income women who want abortions. […]

BUDAPEST, Mar 25 (LSN) – Hungarian Welfare Minister Mihaly Kokeny vowed yesterday to allow a 13-year-old girl, known as “Katalin P,” to procure an abortion. Kokeny contradicted a decision made Friday in which Hungarian provincial court judge Eva Molnar attempted to save the life of the preborn child, ruling that Katalin could not go ahead with a “planned infanticide.”  The Alfa Federation, a local pro-life group, appealed to the judge in the case for permission to name a guardian to represent the preborn child in court.
