WATCHDOG GROUP WARNS OF INTERNATIONAL COURT

NEW YORK, Mar 20 (LSN) – The Catholic Family and Human Rights Institute (CFHRI), an advocate for family and human rights at the UN, issued a warning today about anti-life language in the proposals for an International Criminal Court. According to the CFHRI report, “UN feminists are aggressively lobbying for the inclusion of ‘enforced pregnancy’ as part of the official definition of ‘war crimes’ in the proposed International Criminal Court (ICC).”“The term ‘enforced pregnancy,’ according to sources within national delegations, is intended to make the denial of access to abortion a ‘war crime,’ the report noted.  The report also indicates […]

U.N. USES SCARE TACTICS TO PUSH FOR ABORTION

GENEVA, Mar 20 (LSN)  A report released yesterday by the UN’s World Health Organization (WHO) claimed that 20 million women around the world get “unsafe abortions” every year resulting in the death of 80,000 mothers. Predictably, the UN did not consider the more than 20 million babies killed, not to mention the countless millions also killed every year in another category the UN would call “safe abortions.” Rather than suggest getting rid of abortions to combat the deaths of mothers and their children, the UN is using their findings to promote global access to abortion on demand.  Revealing its opposition […]

U.S. AND CANADA REFUSE TO CRITICIZE CHINA

WASHINGTON, Mar 19 (LSN)  Last Friday the Clinton administration announced it would not support a resolution criticizing China’s human rights record at a United Nations human rights conference which began Monday in Geneva. Officials cited China’s agreement to sign a United Nations human rights covenant as the reason for not wishing to criticize China.  In a recent press release, the Family Research Council (FRC) noted that the US Senate voted overwhelmingly, 95-5, to urge President Clinton to press China about “serious human rights abuses,” despite China’s signing of the UN document. To demonstrate the great need for speaking out against […]
