VANCOUVER, Aug 19 (LSN) – The July 27 edition of BC Report magazine published Vancouver’s Archbishop Adam Exner’s condemnation of the NDP BC government’s plans to extend spousal pension benefits to public servants who are practicing homosexuals. Exner suggested an alternative approach to the issue that would not require affirmation of homosexuality, which he called immoral. WASHINGTON, Aug 19 (LSN) – The National Enquirer reported yesterday that former abortuary owner Eric Harrah who recently converted to Christianity and abandoned his pro-abortion stance was questioned by investigators in regards to an abortion by Monica Lewinsky. In a ruling issued yesterday, the North Carolina Court of Appeals upheld an earlier Superior Court decision undermining the state’s parental consent law by allowing abortuaries to accept forged parental permission notes. AMSTERDAM, Netherlands, Aug 18 (LSN) – The BBC reported yesterday on insider revelations which say that UN troops were responsible for killing Bosnians during the “peacekeeping” operations. undertaken in 1995.  According to the BBC, Dutch peacekeepers “deliberately drove an armored car into a crowd killing about 30 people.” Those killed were fleeing from a U.N. “safe haven” which had been captured by Bosnian Serbs.  Dutch Defence Minister, Frank de Grave has ordered an investigation into the matter. These allegations follow earlier reports suggesting U.N. peacekeeper complicity in atrocities committed by the Bosnian Serbs.

OTTAWA, Aug 18 (LSN) – Canada’s Environment Minister Christine Stewart announced yesterday that Canada will ratify the radical environmentalist Kyoto agreement despite the refusal of Alberta Premier Ralph Klein. Formerly, as with the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, the federal government required provincial ratification of international treaties prior to national ratification.
