WASHINGTON, Aug 10 (LSN) – Late Friday, the U.S. House of Representatives passed a spending bill for the District of Columbia which included an amendment by Rep. Steve Largent which forbade any of the money to be “used to carry out any joint adoption of a child between individuals who are not related by blood or by marriage.” While it is unclear if the Senate would pass the bill, President Clinton promised to veto the bill if it still contained the adoption restriction. Practicing homosexuals were outraged over the amendment as it would prohibit homosexual couples from adopting.

ROME, Aug 10 (LSN) – Italy’s largest Catholic magazine Famiglia Cristiana reported the disturbing results of a survey that revealed that 72% of Italians said that couples living together outside of marriage should be granted the same rights as married couples. Catholic World News quoted the Italian magazine calling the findings indicative of a “very real breakdown of reason” in society. “There are not and cannot be couples, and consequently families, that are real and proper outside the marriage between a man and a woman.”

OTTAWA, Aug 10 (LSN) – The Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) has invited both Canadians and non-Canadians to give their views on a draft Gender Equality policy, a policy which bases itself on conforming to the dictates of the UN Women’s conference and thus promotes abortion. TORONTO, Aug 7 (LSN) – The feature article in Chatelaine’s September 1998 issue released yesterday attempts to glorify an abortionist whom they dub the “angel of choice” however, the facts presented in the piece reveal a subversive pro-abortionist whose claim to be pro-“choice” is mocked by his own admissions. WASHINGTON, Aug 7 (LSN) – In the July issue of the World Climate Report, a leading U.S. publication covering the breaking news concerning the science and political science of global climate change, a new independent measure of temperature was shown to discredit global warming theories. Confirming the reports from satellites and the temperature gages on weather balloons, the new procedure which calculates temperature by the rise and fall of weather balloons with a formula taking into account barometric pressure shows no evidence of global warming.
