ROME, Sept 8 (LSN) – According to Zenit news service last week, doctors around the world may no longer need to vow that they will never kill their patients. SPANKING CHILD LANDS FATHER IN JAIL

WAUSAU, Wisconsin, Sept 8 (LSN) – Yesterday WorldNetDaily exposed a story, not widely reported, of a man sentenced to a year in jail and seven years of probation for spanking his step-daughter. Mark A. Peterson was given the sentence for placing his step-daughter over his knees Feb. 20, 1996, at their Appleton home and spanking her with his hand four to six times on the buttocks through her clothes. A jury convicted Peterson of using unreasonable force in the discipline of his child. An appeals court upheld the ruling in June.

SENATE TO ADDRESS PARENTAL NOTIFICATION BILL NEXT WEEK

WASHINGTON, Sept 4 (LSN) – Pro-life Americans are being urged to contact their senators to stress the importance of their support for a bill intended to ensure state laws requiring parental notification of abortions are upheld. The bill, sponsored by Sen. Spencer Abraham, R-Mich., would make it illegal for non-custodians to take pregnant girls to out-of-state abortuaries to avoid the notification requirement.
