FREEHOLD, N.J, Oct 30 (LSN) – Melissa Drexler, the New Jersey “Prom Mom” who gave birth to her child in a washroom during her school prom, then killed and trashed him before returning to the dance floor, was sentenced to 15 years in prison yesterday. Convicted of aggravated manslaughter, the conditions of her plea bargain allow her parole in three years.

WINNIPEG, Manitoba, Oct 29 (LSN) – Yesterday Winnipeg elected homosexual activist Glen Murray as mayor.  Murray, a former city councilor boycotted committee meetings in 1991 to protest then mayor Bill Norrie’s unwillingness to proclaim Lesbian and Gay Pride Week. WASHINGTON, Oct 29 (LSN) – John Holmes of the Association of Christian Schools International revealed that the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) is requiring all participants in federal school nutrition programs and other USDA programs—including religious schools and other religious institutions—to display a poster saying that discrimination is prohibited on the basis of “race, color, national origin,  gender, religion, age, disability, political beliefs, sexual orientation, and marital or family status.”  Holmes noted that US law does not establish “sexual orientation” or “political beliefs” as a protected class. HONOLULU, Oct 29 (LSN) – An urgent request was released yesterday by the Alliance for Traditional Marriage-Hawaii (ATM) for support in defeating a proposal by the Hawaii Supreme Court to legalize gay marriages in Hawaii. According to ATM Chairman Mike Gabbard “there’s a very real possibility of the traditional marriage constitutional amendment losing on November 3rd.” At minimum $100,000 is needed to cover TV ads, $200,000 would also enable radio and print ads to be used.
