JUDGE HAPPY TO HAVE SAVED A LIFE

CLEVELAND, Oct 8 (LSN) – Judge Patricia Cleary of Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court denied the request of a young woman convicted of fraud to go on probation rather than serve a jail term so that she could have an abortion.  The Associated Press reported yesterday that Yuriko Kawaguchi, 21, made the request claiming that she was five months’ pregnant and had only 2 weeks left within which to legally abort her child.  Kawaguchi’s lawyer and the American Civil Liberties Union of Ohio filed a motion Thursday in U.S.  District Court to have the ruling canceled and another judge appointed […]

INTERNATIONAL CRIMINAL COURT ON FAST TRACK?

UNITED NATIONS, Oct 9 (LSN) – The Catholic Family and Human Rights Institute reported today that the UN’s International Criminal Court (ICC) may be up and running before long. A group called No Peace Without Justice (NPWJ), along with various Member States of the UN General Assembly, have commenced an aggressive campaign for quick ratification of the ICC.  The group hopes to get the ratification of the treaty by the required minimum of 60 nations by the year 2,000. CAFHRI says that “A Manual for Legislators” will be mailed to 30,000 parliamentarians across the globe as part of the effort.

U.S. PLANNED PARENTHOOD EMBARKS ON POLITICAL CAMPAIGN

PHILADELPHIA, Oct 9 (LSN) – The foremost abortion provider in the US, Planned Parenthood, announced Tuesday that the Planned Parenthood Action Fund (PPAF) was embarking on a $1+ million political campaign. The group plans to endorse pro-abortion congressional candidates and rate them on a pro-abortion Congressional Scorecard.  The group claims to have endorsed 152 U.S. House and Senate candidates. PPAF says that all endorsed incumbents have a 100 percent pro-abortion voting record and all endorsed challengers have 100 percent pro-abortion answers on a prepared questionnaire.

NEWBORN FOUND DEAD IN DUMPSTER
